An excellent opportunity has arrived for a talented Business Change Manager to join our family and become part of something special. Sofology is an innovative, fast growing, retail business with a passion for technology driving the business forward on all platforms and media channels.

A day in the life of...

Identify and own the delivery of a strategic IT programme,  managing one or more projects  or work streams within the overall programme, or works on iterative improvements as part of a product life cycle.

Responsible for the delivery of its outcome, using an appropriate approach (e.g. iterative and incremental, sequential) suitable to the characteristics of the change.

Work with stakeholders to understand the strategic objectives and agree the project objectives and outputs or high-level benefits to be delivered by the project.  

Determine a  project’s level of complexity and agree with the ‘owner’ the options and appropriate approach for delivery. 

Contribute to the development of business and financial investment case. 

Manage and deliver the programme within the agreed time, cost and quality constraints to enable delivery of the agreed outputs and/or benefits. 

Maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, address issues, and deliver effective communication strategies.

Put in place transition plans and ensure business ownership is established for the ongoing ownership of outputs and/or realisation of benefits.

Apply oversight and evaluate, monitor and manage risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, interdependencies and changes, escalating those outside tolerance if appropriate. 

To focus on working within the team to ensure flow is improved and lead-times reduced at every stage of the development process.

To lead, manage and develop the team members to ensure they deliver business value and reach their full potential.

Maintain suitable plans, manage the delivery of minimum requirements and/or critical success factors and effectively manage people (including third parties) and other resources.

End to end delivery of specific projects, change management, or programmes of work.

Coordination and management of project team members to deliver to plan and with the right quality.

Working with and management of third parties to deliver successfully.

Management of all aspects of delivery including risks, issues, scope, cost and timeline.

Engagement and management of key stakeholders and customers.

Regular progress reporting.

In an ideal world...

Experience of Programme, Project and Change Management.

Flexible approach.

Process driven with an eye for detail.

Experience of vendor and partner/consultancy management

Knowledge of how to develop, maintain and support complex systems.

Process mapping and redesign.

Experience working with project teams of QA Analysts and Developers.

Data extraction, report writing and training/support of end users.
