Commercial Pricing Analyst
A day in the life of...
Prepares general reporting on selling and all other commercial performance metrics
To ensure all price decisions achieve the desired result.
Monitor and report on pricing actions of competitors in the marketplace, identifying customer trends.
Convert analysis into easy-to-understand presentation materials and the development of metrics and reporting tools.
lead the presentation of findings to stakeholders of all levels of the organisation
Work with the Buying Manager, to understand the scope of new propositions/ideas.
Work collaboratively across buying so challenges from all perspectives can be worked through to deliver the optimal business outcome.
Price setting / Analysis of individual product lines including new product pricing
Using data and analysis to provide performance insight
Modelling the impact of changes to pricing strategies
Work with Supply Chain Manager and Buyers on stocked model products, ensuring we plan and trade effectively where we have over stock of lines.
In an ideal world...
Studying/qualified in an accounting qualification or a degree in a related subject, e.g. Business or Commercial
Data driven. Confident in using multiple analytic tools and experienced in creating and running reports.
Strong commercial acumen, financial & analytic skills and creativity are critical.
Shares information in a clear and concise manner, and influence/challenge stakeholders and colleagues where necessary
Have a successful track record in the achievement of targets and objectives.
Results driven, structured and well organised
Strong interpersonal skills and comfortable working with autonomy and to deadlines and targets
Retail industry experience preferred.
