Digital Analyst
Your new role
We are looking for an analyst to join our digital team. You will be accountable for providing clear, commercial, and actionable insights to the digital team to deliver a better customer experience, better quality traffic, higher online conversion, and stronger profitable sales.
You will be tenacious in your approach to finding root causes, issues, and opportunities to drive performance and play a key role in adding significant value to an already successful online business
A highly analytical mindset is needed to deal with the day-to-day challenges a digital/online analyst would face in this role, ranging from but not limited to, digital marketing metric performance & overall ROI, forecasting and ongoing budgeting analysis for online channels, and identifying website development opportunities to meet commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Accountable for the development, delivery and ownership of the full suite of digital reports across a real time (on-demand), daily, weekly and monthly basis, this will be across online, digital marketing & CRM

Interpret the data to provide commentary as part of the report suite that joins up the data to tell the story of trends and exceptions

Play a key role in the digital team by identifying issues and opportunities in the site user experience throughout the funnel, and tracking the impact of changes, plus also looking across digital marketing & CRM to ensure we track and drive improved ROI (valuable traffic) to both stores & online

Deliver ad hoc and deep dive analysis to support business planning & strategy, e.g. store & online customer journeys, specific new acquisition channels, product performance

Working with our central data team to ensure we have the right analytics platforms and supplier relationships, understanding the roadmaps and new features; also make use of alerts within the platforms to identify real time exceptions

Ownership of data integrity and accuracy, working closely with IT to ensure that tagging is correct and fit for purpose

Support all ecommerce strategic change with business modeling and provide dedicated reporting and dashboards in line with launches, to track the impact from day 1, communicating to all stakeholders

Work closely across the wider team, including finance partners, to gain awareness and understanding of end to end channel performance

Work with the digital team and agency partners to personalisation opportunities, and key audiences to share with our marketing partners

Tenacious approach to looking for root causes

Worked for an eCommerce retailer as an analyst for a minimum of 2-3 years, including a good understanding for PPC, SEO & CRM.

Superuser in Excel & Google Analytics

Some experience in BigQuery, SQL, SFTP & CDPs would be an advantage, as would Google Tag Manager
-
Someone who loves data and expert user in Excel, data tools, and visualisation

Proven track record of driving change by presenting insights to senior stakeholders with confidence and simplicity
