Your new role

Working within the Sofology Online Trading Team you will execute best in class online merchandising through excellent management of the online journey for products, categories,  pages and searches. Our Online Trading opportunities are realised and a sales plan is achieved whilst providing the best online merchandising experience is provided. You will be supporting the online Trading plan to generate online sales activity and support the achievement of business goals and KPI’s.

A day in the life of...

• Ensuring that products are effectively managed, through attribution, data feed management and product optimisation through all channels.
• Responsible for maximising the website, category and product SEO through best practise optimisation
• Uploading and managing redirects, canonicals, meta titles and descriptions, and image alt tags..
• Working with the Senior Online Trading Manager to ensure all SEO content elements are updated
• Working collaboratively with the Senior Online Trading Manager to execute the online trading plan that drives sales performance.
• Immersing self in analytics such as google, Content Square and insights to understand how the online activity is performing on an ongoing basis. 
• Using insight to identify where revenue can be increased by improving product pages, search results, product list page and category page content.
• Understanding how product ranges are performing and proposing online trading activities to the Online Trading Manager.
• QA’ing banners, links, RDPs and PDPs , ensuring issues resolved with the customer journey.
• Ensuring that product listing pages are effectively merchandised, on brand and optimised and in line with visual merchandising and trading strategy.
• Responsible for maximising cross-selling opportunities across all categories of the site.
• Responsible for site search and results. failed searches and working with the Online Trading Manager on synonym reviews.
• Weekly site check and QA.
• Weekly comp shop review.
• Weekly search, navigation and SEO  analytics, recommending optimisation and opportunities.

In an ideal world...

• 2+ years working in an online retail environment.
• Intermediate understanding of ecommerce merchandising.
• Intermediate knowledge of CMS platforms such as Bloommreach.
• Intermediate understanding of SEO best practice.
• Highly analytical with strong commercial acumen.
• Highly organised with strong communication and project management skills.
• Attention to detail; both analytical and creative.
• Ability to prioritise tasks and manage time is imperative.
• Able to build great relationships across the business to collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
