A day in the life of...

• Ownership of trading division management accounts for trading entities.
• Control and execution of month end processes (journals, reconciliations, control accounts) to ensure accurate and
robust financial records.
• Line management of 3x direct reports (Management accountant and Management Accounts assistants) including
review of all areas of work and staff development.
• Liaise with commercial finance business partners to maintain good business understanding and ensure new
developments are appropriately reflected in the accounts.
• Ownership of specific areas of management accounts across all group entities namely (Sales and AR, Payroll and
people, stock accounting).
• Input and control of weekly cashflow feeding in to group cashflow position.
• Control of Open Accounts usage including maintenance of and approval of management accounts.
• Ad hoc analysis and projects.
• Accurate review and sign off of all work undertaken by others.

In an ideal world...

• Professional: ACMA, ACA, ACCA
• 2+ years PQE

•Effective communicator with all levels in the business.
• Strong understanding of general ledger principles through to trial balance production.
• Comfortable taking initiative, operating decisively and autonomously within a supportive environment.
• Financial modelling skills; good Excel skills.
• Analytical capabilities, good attention to detail..
