Mobile Inspection Technician
Your new role
Working a task list of jobs that need carrying out to resolve defects on furniture and completing random spot checks to ensure quality is of the highest standard. Furniture after delivery into a customer's home may be damaged, repair the damage to a manufacturing standard for a re-delivery or re-grade into a new status and meet current service level agreements to ensure fast and proactive service is met. Keeping return levels low and throughput high ensuring returns are cleared out of the CDC weekly back into a saleable status or exit out the business
A day in the life of...
Inspect and repair furniture that has any defects or damage due to shipping/delivery
Ensure all repairs meet the required quality standard and are free from defects were possible
Report on common problems and issues ensuring that management is aware to eliminate the issues in future
Grade items into new status achieving personal KPI targets set by line managers
Make certain all relevant information has been gathered to ensure that all required work has been carried out correctly
Actively pursue the resolution of all issues through the inspection, repair and reporting process and guarantee their quality at the end of the process
Ensure there are always the resources, products and components locally available to manage any and all issues that may arise now and in the future
Support the line managers and action or undertake any reasonable request to meet the needs of the business
Carry out quality checks on furniture and spot check when they arrive from the manufacturer (Random Checks)
Ensure your vehicle is prepared with all the tools and consumables needed for CDC visits

- Basic furniture repairs are vital, training will be provided by our in house training manager to upskill in any area a colleague may feel they need extra support.
