An excellent opportunity has arrived for a talented Software Development Manager to join our family and become part of something special. Sofology is an innovative, fast growing, retail business with a passion for technology driving the business forward on all platforms and media channels.

 

As a Software Development Manager you have a number of responsibilities, but the primary one is to lead development of products that will delight our customers and fellow Sofologists.

 

The Software Development Manager will oversee a team of experienced developers ensuring they are able to work as efficiently as possible and have clear goals, both in the short and longer term.  Working in an agile environment, you will grow and develop the team, through excellent leadership and mentorship.

 

You will be responsible for the whole software development life cycle and manage the process against project plans.

 

Working closely with the wider Technology management team ensuring we drive great solutions.

A day in the life of...

Manage the development and implementation of the strategy using Agile methodologies, values and procedures.

 

Ensure all test and production platforms and environments remain operationally functionable and active post deployment.

 

Liaise with internal teams to ensure that all changes across all platforms adhere to best practices and are within company processes and governance.

 

Manage the day to day operation and continuous improvement of the development team performing regular 121’s, reviews, PDP’s and probationary reviews.

 

Provide meaningful statistical information demonstrating the performance of the team, working to improve velocity and quality across the team.
