The Sofa Delivery Company - Delivering Moments that Matter as part of the DFS Group.
This role is the backbone of the Customer Delivery Centre. The Customer Delivery Centre manager takes full leadership, operational and financial responsibility for managing safe and efficient operational standards in the largest warehouse and distribution site across the DFS Group. This role is fast paced and changing, you’ll be managing a site which can range from £50-70m worth of deliveries and lead a team of 75+ people. Making sure we offer the best service to our customers; whilst making sure we remain compliant in Health & Safety and Transport regulations.
A day in the life of...
Thinking Customer by:
Managing the customer-facing side of your site
Being passionate about doing the right thing for our customers and people at all times
Working collaboratively with our brand partners DFS, dwell & Sofology
Ensuring consistently high standards of customer service is delivered in line with the Brand customer promise measured through NPS scores
Aiming High by:
Ownership for costs within the CDC in line with agreed budgets
Leading, coaching, developing and motivating the CDC team
Accountable for auditable compliance
Maintaining high standards of Health & Safety and housekeeping compliance to ensure your CDC is a safe place to work
Recruiting the best people for our business
Being Real by:
Ensuring efficient inbound of supplier deliveries and outbound customer orders
Building relationships with retail teams, with the ability to to address issues and identify any improvement opportunities
Accountability for optimal utilisation of transport fleet
Managing any People issues with appropriate support from the People team
