Deputy Store Manager

Your new role…

Sofology is way more than just a sofa... The sofa sits at the heart of the home, and we know how much that means to our customers. Choosing the perfect sofa is a big decision, which is why as a Deputy Store Manager, your primary focus will be leading from the front on the retail floor. This role is about driving exceptional sales and customer experience, whilst also stepping up to manage store operations on the Store Manager's days off.   

So whether it's about style, comfort, or hitting your key indicators, you’ll use your passion for product, sales expertise, and coaching skills to ensure there'll be no ifs or buts when it comes to you and your team delivering a first class, red carpet experience, every single time.  


A day in the life of…  

As a Deputy Store Manager, you'll spend most of your time active on the shop floor! Here are just a few of the things you'll be getting up to...

  • Leading by example on the sales floor, delivering an unrivalled experience to every customer, driving revenue and achieving targets   

  • Utilising your product and styling knowledge to partner with customers to bring their dream living spaces to life  

  • Showcasing our fantastic products in true Sofology style

  • Understanding the world of design and style so you can help our customers make the right sofa choice for them 

  • Driving and tracking key commercial indicators

  • Leading and motivating your team, all day, everyday  

  • Assessing individual performance through shop floor observation to provide real time sales coaching and feedback   

  • Ensuring an exceptional customer experience is maintained at all times by keeping the store standards to an exception level, in line with our store format guidelines.

  • Leading store operations and managing colleague performance and productivity in the Store Manager's absence


In an ideal world… 

You are a high performing sales expert who completely thrives on the shop floor, loves achieving commercial targets, and has a real passion for customer consultation. We are looking for someone who leads by example, holds exciting morning meetings that kickstart the day the right way, and takes pride in stepping up to manage the store when needed.
